What an amazing day we had on Fiona & Gary’s very special Wedding day! When I, Patricia, arrived at the house for the morning preparations, everyone was very relaxed and looking forward to the happy day ahead. We had great fun in the morning and I spotted the little Child of Prague in the garden, probably responsible for the fab weather we had on this day.
Fiona looked absolutely stunning and was very calm and collected, so we spend a great day with our couple and their friends & family. Fiona’s Wedding dress was absolutely gorgeous and I loved the bridesmaids dresses in the lovely blue with the lace embroidery on top. The flowers for Fiona & her bridal party were absolutely beautiful and very well put together by the lovely people from Dooley’s Flowers in Athlone. After the morning preparations we went to Ss. Peter & Paul Church in Athlone, overlooking the Shannon and the Castle. This Wedding was very special not only because both Fiona & Gary said “I Do” but we also had a guard of honor during the Eucharist. Gary was wearing his uniform and was looking smashing beside his stunning bride. The music in the Church was amazing and this was thanks to the singers around “Bean” Dolan, who really did a fantastic job enhancing the ceremony with their beautiful voices.
After the Ceremony Fiona & Gary had a fab exit stepping out of the church all thanks to Gary’s colleagues. After a quick photo shoot at the Church, we all went on to do some more pictures. And when you are so close… why not also stop quickly at Ireland’s most famous Pub: Seans Bar? We got some amazing footage there and later also down by the Shannon; together with Clare-Frances and Hatim.
We had great fun and were then heading to the lovely folks at the Shamrock Lodge Hotel who had everything prepared just perfectly for the arrival of our happy newlyweds. Everyone always feels very welcome at the Shamrock Lodge and no wonder it is the Midlands favorite spot for Weddings, winning one award after another! After cutting the cake (don’t ever give Fiona a sword again – she looks fierce with it!) and some more footage at the lovely grounds of the Hotel, everyone had great fun at the speeches and later then danced the night away.
Fiona & Gary, thank you very much for letting us be a part of your very special Wedding day. We were happy to capture it all for you and are wishing you both only the very best for your future as husband & wife.
